GOURD PROJECTS & CARVING PROCESS
This was quite the project! This was my second carving that I ever attempter on a gourd.I have had to learn carving on my own. There is only one person I know of that teaches carving and she is in Phoenix, Arizona. This was a fun practice piece! As you can see from the pictures ther was several stages to carving this gourd.
I added an oval wooden base and a cut off top of another gourd and stuck on the top of a canteen style gourd. I put cut African Cape Porcupine quills in the open areas
